Choir

These pictures are various scenes from different church events where the choir was singing.. Our current organist is Jonathan Sadler. Also pictured are choir members who were guests, past organists, honorary choir members and those who have “gone on to glory.”

Provide music used as an offering for the glory of God and as a help to people in their worship.

Goals:

  1. To maintain appropriate standards for music in the liturgy,
  2. To use a variety of hymns that carry the themes of the gospel, lessons or collect,
  3. To use music appropriate to the seasons and context in which it is used, and
  4. To learn new songs and service music from The Hymnal 1982, Lift Every Voice and Sing II and other sources.

Provide praise through scripture and songs during regular and special services which reflect the liturgical seasons of the church. Planned and hosted the third annual ‘Afternoon in the Arts’ with invited guests throughout the community. Held regularly scheduled rehearsals on Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. Used a variety of sources to choose selections and service music. Planned “A Service of Lessons and Carols” held on December with guest participants.

Outreach: Some members are involved in community choruses. Some members participate in special community Church Services.
